Spirit Life Institute of Ministry is a Certified Bible Institute with the International Church of the Foursquare Gospel. The vision of The Foursquare Church is to present Jesus Christ, God's Son, to every person in every culture and nation as The Savior, The Baptizer with the Holy Spirit, The Healer and The Soon-Coming King. Instructional Approach
Here at Spirit Life Institute we believe that our students learn best through participating in both formal and informal instructional times. Therefore, we have different classes and programs to meet the needs of all of our students - no matter the background or experience. However, we also see the value and need for students to acquire a significant amount of knowledge. You will see below in our training hours that we place a greater emphasis on formal instruction versus informal instruction.
Formal Instruction:
The formal instruction at Spirit Life Institute is done through a number of courses that fit into a two year program of instruction. Students are required to complete at least 30 credits to receive a certificate. In order to receive a diploma, students must complete an additional minimum of 30 credits or at least a total of 60 credits, which results in 750 hours of formal classroom training.
Informal Instruction:
Students will receive many different opportunities to complete informal instruction hours. Students working to complete a certificate or diploma are required to complete approximately 75 hours of informal instruction for the certificate. Students pursuing a diploma will also be required to complete at least 150 hours of interning throughout their time at Spirit Life.
